Our Implant Marathon training is divided into three distinct levels to cater to different levels of expertise:

Level 1:
Implant Placement

 

Ideal For

Implant beginners, recent graduates, and experienced clinicians looking to elevate their surgical skills and clinical confidence.
 

Program Goal

To build true implant confidence through repeated hands-on exposure to a wide range of implant cases, with focused training in treatment planning, surgical execution, and the management of complications.
 

Curriculum Highlights

  • Hands-on clinical training with a maximum of 2 doctors per chair, working under direct expert supervision
  • Guaranteed placement of 30 implants per doctor, with additional surgical exposure through assisting on group cases
  • Foundational treatment planning, including CBCT interpretation and OPG analysis
  • Exposure to a broad range of implant cases, from straightforward placements to moderately challenging scenarios
 

Level 1 Clinical Cases

Cases may include, but are not limited to:
  • Single anterior and posterior implant placements
  • Multiple maxillary and mandibular implants
  • Full-arch and All-on-X cases
  • Immediate implant placement
  • Basic bone grafting techniques
 

Level Requirement

Basic anatomy and theoretical knowledge. No prior implant experience necessary.

Level 2:
Sinus Lift & Advanced Surgery


Designed for doctors with moderate implant experience, Level 2 is an advanced surgical program focused on sinus surgery, complex case execution, and complication management. Participants perform a minimum of 7 advanced surgical cases, developing the skills required to manage challenging anatomy with confidence and precision.
 

Curriculum Highlights

  • In-depth training on direct vs. indirect sinus lifting techniques
  • Perform direct (lateral window) sinus lifts using a range of proven surgical approaches
  • Place implants in conjunction with sinus lifts and PRF to optimize healing and outcomes
  • Learn structured protocols for preventing and managing maxillary sinus complications


 

Level 2 Clinical Cases

Cases typically include, but are not limited to:
  • A min of 5 lateral window sinus lifts
  • 2–3 additional advanced cases, such as:
    • Implant placement with simple GBR
    • Full-arch / All-on-X surgery
    • Management of thin or compromised ridges
    •  

Level Requirement

Minimum of 50 implants placed OR previous participation in Level 1 required.
Participants must be comfortable with implant placement and surgical techniques. This level is reserved for clinicians ready to advance into complex implant surgery.

Level 3:
Complex Grafting and Demanding Cases
Level 3 is reserved primarily for TCP alumni and is designed for the most experienced clinicians seeking mastery in advanced grafting and complex implant reconstruction. This elite module focuses on managing the most challenging clinical cases through high-level surgical execution and decision-making.

 

Curriculum Highlights

  • Advanced, hands-on training in complex bone grafting, with a strong emphasis on hard-tissue regeneration
  • Perform and refine techniques including block grafting, onlay grafting, and titanium mesh reconstruction
  • Comprehensive surgical planning tailored to severe defects and high-risk anatomical situations

  • Personalized learning aligned with the individual goals of TCP alumni
 

Level 3 Clinical Focus

Training is centered on complex implant cases, including:
  • Block and onlay bone grafting
  • Titanium mesh reconstruction
  • Advanced management of compromised sites and complex implant failures
 

Level Requirement

Minimum of 200 implants placed and at least 2 years of oral surgery experience required.
Participation is primarily limited to TCP alumni, with very limited availability for non-alumni applicants.

Start Your Implant Journey Today!

The TCP Implant Marathon delivers a complete, hands-on implant training experience designed to build real surgical confidence. Through live patient surgery, repetition, and direct supervision by implant masters, you gain the skills and assurance needed to place implants independently.

Here is what the week will look like!


Sunday: Orientation and Preparation

Begin with a structured orientation where you meet faculty, review the course format, and preview the surgical cases scheduled for the week. Core implantology principles are reinforced to align all participants, followed by an evening hands-on model workshop to prepare for live surgery.
 

Monday-Friday: Live Surgical Training

Take part in 5 intensive clinical days focused on real patient care. You will place 30 implants under expert supervision, assist your group member, and gain exposure to a broad range of cases—experiencing approximately 60 implants per group throughout the week.
 

Review, Debrief, and Future Planning

Each day of the Implant Marathon is also dedicated to debriefing and review. You will participate in comprehensive case discussions, where each surgical procedure is analyzed in detail. The faculty will highlight key learning points and provide tips for integrating these skills into your daily practice. This also offers a platform for you to ask questions, seek further clarification, and plan your next steps in advancing your implantology career.

CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE) CREDITS


 The TCP Implant Marathon is an AGD approved PACE provider for dental CE. Upon successful completion of the Implant Marathon, participants are awarded 60 CE hours through AGD/PACE, recognizing the depth and rigor of this comprehensive hands-on training.
