Course Structure and Levels
Each Implant Marathon training is divided into three distinct levels, each tailored to accommodate different levels of expertise and clinical experience. This tiered approach allows you to choose a path that aligns with your current skill set and professional goals, while providing a clear roadmap for your continued development in implant dentistry.
Level 1
Implant Placement
Main Goal: Learn & Gain Confidence
Overview:
Level 1 is designed for dentists who are new to implant surgery or have only basic implant knowledge. This level focuses on building a solid foundation in implant placement techniques, treatment planning, and patient evaluation. Main goal of this level is to provide you with confidence through practical exposure, repetition, and hands-on learning.
Objectives:
- Hands-On Experience: Participants will personally place a minimum of 30 implants over 5 days, under supervision and mentorship of implant masters.
- Comprehensive Curriculum: The training covers essential implant surgery topics such as CBCT and OPG interpretation, treatment planning, and basic bone grafting techniques.
- Direct Supervision: All procedures are conducted under the close guidance of seasoned implant surgeons, ensuring that you receive personalized feedback and mentorship.
- Case Diversity: You will work on a variety of cases, ranging from straightforward placements to moderately challenging scenarios, designed to build your confidence and clinical skills.

Level 2
Sinus Surgery & Grafting
Main Goal: Advance Your Skills
Overview:
Level 2 is aimed at practitioners who already have implant experience and wish to expand their skill set to include advanced surgical procedures. This module focuses on sinus surgery, grafting, and management of complications. Level pre-requisite: 50+ implants placed in the last 2 years or completion of TCP's Level 1 course.
Objectives:
- Focused Surgical Training: Participants perform 7 advanced surgical cases that include sinus elevation techniques, implants with GBR and management of thin ridges.
- Expert-Led Instruction: Supervised by one of TCP's course directors, you will be working directly under the guidance of oral maxillofacial surgeons that have placed thousands of implants.
- Case-Based Learning: The course emphasizes the importance of individualized treatment planning, ensuring that you can tailor surgical approaches to meet unique patient needs.

Level 3
Advanced Grafting & Complex Implants
Overview:
Level 3 is designed for the most experienced practitioners who wish to further refine their skills with the most complex grafting and implant cases. To attend this level, you must have placed a min of 250 implants, have 2 years of oral surgery experience, and completed our Level 2 course.
Objectives:
- Intensive Hands-On Training: Engage in a series of demanding cases that push the boundaries of traditional implant surgery. This level focuses on intricate bone grafting and reconstruction procedures.
- Customized Curriculum: The training is tailored to address your specific learning objectives and clinical challenges, ensuring that you are exposed to cases that enhance your expertise.
- Advanced Problem Solving: Learn how to anticipate, diagnose, and manage complications that can occur during complex surgical interventions.
